TVS Apache RTR 200 2020

TVS has launched a new 2020 model for Apache RTR 200 model and has loaded it with features that we have never seen on an India motorcycle. It has a Smart Connect feature to connect your smartphone to the bike via Bluetooth, lean angle measuring system, a navigation system, call/SMS notification alert and mainly the crash alert system which is very important for safety. It has also got new tyres with a Radial tyre option at the rear for enhanced performance. Its price starts at Rs.1,24,000 Ex-showroom.

It has got a newly designed LED headlamp which offers better visibility and looks aggressive. It has also got new instrument cluster with top speed recorder and 0-60 duration recorder. There are new aerodynamic mirrors that TVS calls ‘Claw’ mirrors. There is also a new engine cowl with attractive graphics and a dual split-seat. Overall, the bike looks very sporty and attractive.

It has 197.75cc oil-cooled engine which produces 20.21bhp power at 8500rpm and 16.8Nm torque at 7500rpm. It has new Race Tuned Fuel Injection (RT-FI) system which is mated to BS6 emission norms and offers better fuel economy. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission via a sleeper clutch which offers slick and smooth gear shifting.

TVS has loaded this bike with features. First of all, TVS provides this bike with ‘Wave Bite Key’ which prevents it from theft and duplicate key cannot be used to start the bike. It has new ‘Smart Connect’ technology which allows you to connect this bike to your smartphone via Bluetooth and it also has navigation feature, call/SMS alert and crash alert system which sends an SMS containing your location to your selected contacts when you are in trouble.

There is Dual-channel ABS with Rear wheel lift-off protection for enhanced safety and it also gets Eurogrip radial tyre as an option.
